Working abroad: Christopher's story

Christopher controlled in New Zealand before joining the Hong Kong team after visiting on holiday and falling in love with the country.

I was given a comprehensive conversion training which allowed me to rate in Hong Kong in good time.

One of the big differences at first moving here and living in the city was not owning a car. The city is so well connected with a wide variety of public transport that is so frequent, a car just really isn't needed.

It sure is a fast-paced work environment, but I love the challenge involved and the satisfaction at the end of the day for a job well done.

The expat community in Hong Kong is huge and it is so easy to meet likeminded expats and make life-long friends!

NATS were phenomenal. I was well supported the whole way with a generous relocation package. The support was great. Even after arrival we were supported in a wide aspect of tasks, including getting our ID cards and setting up bank accounts.
