This is an entry level role where candidates undertake formal training at their allocated airport to reach the standard of an Airport Maintenance Engineer, and subsequently an Airport Operational Engineer.

The role is built around achieving key training and competency milestones and candidates are expected to drive forward their own training plans, maintain good quality training records and act in a manner which promotes safety and protects the operational equipment.

Within this role, candidates can expect to get hands-on under supervision in the maintenance of airfield and tower equipment in addition to attending training courses back at NATS HQ or direct with manufacturers.

This role is responsible for the delivery of engineering services to airports within a designated group.

They are responsible across the Service Management lifecycle for ensuring service designs meet customer, operational and regulatory requirements, ensuring new and changed services transition into operation safely and successfully and most importantly, that the engineering services continue to operate within agreed services levels.
