As well as procuring equipment and services for our own en-route and airport operations, we also procure such systems for a variety of customers globally.
Air Traffic Management: Communications, Navigation & Surveillance
The equipment housed at our numerous remote sites across the UK enables controllers to see and communicate with aircraft using radar, and voice and data communications. We also provide a UK wide network of ground based navigational aids used by aircraft of all types. Our category team who look after this area cover the acquisition and through life support of all assets associated with this function. As well as procuring equipment and services for our own en-route and airport operations, we also procure such systems for a variety of customers globally.
Critical Facilities
In addition to providing property to meet our operational and business needs, we also procure facilities management services to equip, run, secure, and maintain our global estate. Our critical facilities portfolio also includes private networks and the complex communications infrastructure we need to connect our geographically separated air traffic system.
Information Technology
We have a great many infrastructure, hardware, software, software support, infrastructure & applications management and managed service requirements and use an extensive range of communications products and services including mobile solutions and also procure printers, copiers and consumables.
Corporate
To ensure the smooth running of our corporate business, we procure everything from office supplies, print services, travel management, vehicle hire and conference facilities, to temporary staff and permanent recruitment services, learning & development and training solutions. We make use of fleet lease, purchase and fleet management services and ensure that the necessary licences, subscriptions and services are in place. Our professional services requirements include external expert skills, knowledge and advice to address specific issues, management consultancy, legal services and specialist consultancy across a range of competencies.
